BYOH Copenhagen’s New Matcha Bar with Minimalist Interior by Norm Architects

EN:

Matcha has been taking over the past years, becoming a lifestyle trend. I think it is because in our fast paced age we are left with not much time to take care of our heath, hence we seek powerful ways to stay healthy – such as for example the superfoods. And match is one of these superfoods. Research show that drinking three cups of matcha can increase our longevity, lover cholesterol, add to our body extra protection against cancer and aging. Ad so around the world, especially in metropole cities Matcha Bars are very popular.

I personally find the matcha taste a bit strong and for the moment I am not a big fan of drinking pure matcha. How about you? Luckily for those who are like me who find pure matcha taste a bit of strong, there are healthy tasty ways of matcha food and drinks that we can taste in such matcha bars. One of exciting examples for such bars is the brand new opened Matcha Bar BYOH (BE YOUR OWN HERO) in Copenhagen.

The owner of BYOH Michael Mølgaard is a former elite sportsman who has been importing Matcha for himself from LA for years. Mølgaard aims to inspire people to enjoy the health benefits of matcha. What I find interesting about BYOH is their variety of Matcha products such as Matcha yogurt, matcha skyr with granola, matcha granola bar, matcha chocolate and juice, smoothies, ice cream, chocolate, cakes, and milkshakes all made with matcha. Oh, and there is something for lunch as well such as O-Haa-Yo – The perfect meal to boost your day! Avocado, banana and vanilla smoothly mixed and topped with granola and kiwi fruit. Or even better, a matcha roll! After looking on the menu on BYOH website I am sure I will find tasty ways to get my health benefits of matcha. Also, on the BYOH Website there are some creative matcha recipes to try.

This place is definitely on my list for my next visit in Copenhagen.

And now  the last but best detail to share with the minimal design lovers among you: The interior of BYOH. Small independent countries such as Denmark love to take pride in their local craftsmanship. In this spirit, was the BYOH interior designed by the renown Danish Norm Architects, fully furnished with their MENU products. Minimal white with green accents – a perfect scenery to enjoy matcha.

Until I visit this place, I will just savor with the delight of the following images. Do you have already your favorite Matcha Bar ? What is your favorite way to enjoy Matcha? Looking forward your comments.

DE:

Kennt Ihr weitere Matcha-Bars?
